• Dr. Krishna S.Iyer is one of the best pediatric cardiac surgeons in India. • He is recognized for his clinical skill and extensive involvement in cardiac care for children in India and other developing states. • Dr. Iyer founded the first committed pediatric cardiac care program in Northern India, at Fortis-Escorts Heart Institute. • With inherited heart diseases including numerous processes like Fontan, arterial switch procedure, double switch operation TAPVC repairs, and Fontan type procedures, corrections for tetralogy of Fallout, DORV, Truncus, etc he has operated over 10,000 children, babies, and adults. • Dr. Iyer finished his MBBS, MS (General Surgery), and MCh (Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery) from the well-known institute: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. • He completed his training in pediatric and infant cardiac surgery from Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, Australia. • Dr. Iyer has more than hundreds of research publications in both national and international journals. • He authored units in medical books on pediatric and neonatal cardiac surgery. • Dr. Iyer has been the founder president of the Asia-Pacific Pediatric Cardiac Society and has also the President of the Pediatric Cardiac Society of India. • He is an active member of the Steering Committee of the World Congress of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, World Society of Congenital Heart Surgery, and the Asian Society of Cardiovascular, and Thoracic Surgeons. • He had the honor to be invited as an international member of the American Association of Thoracic Surgeons. • Dr. Iyer has his skill in the surgical treatment of all types of congenital heart disease in new-born to adults, complicated transpositions, late presenting CHD, pulmonary hypertension, and complex neonatal surgery.Hospitals
